Did I mention I love riding. Oh did I mention I love my horses? I think they are great, smart, snarky, lots of try, and damn fun to tool around on. Did I mention I love to canter, and gallop.. Wow, nothing better. Such a rush! I love riding, I love having horses I can ride. Wow..
I guess I can not purge that enough, sitting here in class, listening to the accounting sections all I can think about is the smell of horse on my shirt and the hay that is hanging in my hair. Thinking it is still light outside, warm, and I could still be riding instead of sitting here listening to income statements.
Ahh...
I love having more then one horse, I love having the opportunity to work with more then one horse, to learn about each of them, how they handle differently, how they act differently, how they can be all the same, how great nature is to make some noble and trusting creatures. How lucky we are as humans to have them in our lives.
I wish I could spend my entire day with them, riding, working with them, just being around them. They teach me about my self, my inner weaknesses, my strengths. They teach me how to face my fears, and how to explore how deeply I can love something and admire it. How I can put my trust into another creature, and release myself.
Its awesome.
I am entirely awestruck by how gentle they can be, how trusting they are, how willing they are to try to work with us, once they realize we want to work with them. How hardness can move to softness with determination and repeating.
We were lucky indeed.
Phoooka was awesome today, I love riding his huge canter, I just drop the reins and hang on, he is my black and white frieght train. I love working with Komet, watching him learn, and remember things, gentle and sweet, and Marshal, my snarky little boy with a ton of heart! He is following in Phookas hoof prints!
Emma who is on her way, solid and started, Jack, who knows his own mind, and Lucy, Oh Lucy!
Let er' Buck!
LZ!
