Where the heck did I go wrong?

Sometimes we get a little ahead of ourselves. Sometimes we think we know it all. Sometimes we think, hey I just want to do one more thing....

It is when we attempt that, or when we push it beyond that either

1. We get bucked off
2. When we get on the next day, it is like the horse never learned anything from the day before
3. We un-can a bunch a worms and dont have any time to put them back.

Thats what happened to me yesterday.

Sure the ride was good. I was out of practice and shape so my feel was not as good as it should have been. Yet in my enthusium to ride, after my trainer told me it was time to put it away for the day.. what did I do...

I want to canter more.. so off I go cantering around the ring... Well I had to peddle him a bit so now my trainer is directing me to use the mecate to keep him going instead of my legs and well she got the stink eye on me..

I am like hey I just wanted to tear around a bit....

Well, my friends that is not part of the program...

The program before I decieded to go off on a tear was working on the back up and the canter trot transitions. We had got to a good place and the horse was ready to soak on it... yet what did I do.. I push another lesson in there and now when the horse soaks it unsure on where he is soaking...

Not to mention I added a new dimension to the end of the lesson which was the canter....

Yes my friends sometimes we need to know when to stop...

Well I got a good talking too from my trainer.... and in my happiness to ride I forgot all the basics...

Well it happens...

Hi Ho!
