Feel, Timing and Brace

So I learned a couple things, or in the process of learning, never sure which.

The significance of softness, the impact of brace and the follow through of a good feel.

Now to those of you who dont ride or ride a different style this may not make sense to you and thats ok...

To me, it does not make sense but at least I know what I should be experiencing, what I should be feeling...

I know what I am looking for in the horse, while I may not be able to articulate it, I am able to see it, am able to experience it...

The horse should weigh nothing, the feel should be light, the experience should be like a dance.

Ok, I get it now...

I move forward the horse should move forward..

I move back, the horse should move back...

I leap out of my tracks, the horse should leap out...

My feet, their feet, one in the same...

My hands need to be steady, to support, not to confuse... lightness, float, and organization.

My body, centered, directing, energy out, eyes out... knowing where I am going.

I prepare, always... prep the horse always, give them time to catch up..

Give them time to gather, time to organize... Time to relate to my feet...

Soft... soft... soft........ like a spider web..
And when that web breaks, where there is a brace, a push...

Know the difference between the horse not being ready mentally, or physically vs a brace...

Brace is different the prep....

Know it... and how to react to it, and to time to it....

To get back to softness...

Hi ho!
