A side of rain?

Well even I have to admit, trying to have a restful weekend can turn into something that you least expect.

Saturday was the Darkwood Archery Event which means I get to bring all the stuff, and Marshall the field.
Fine.

I had hoped to sit on my arse the entire day, oh well.

It is nice to see everyone though, so I guess I should not complain too much!

Saturday it was raining, so I spent some nuzzle time with the horses. Basically walking them around the stables, brushing them out, and just giving them scritches. Sometimes that is ok too.

Sunday I made it to the stables, but it was rainy and wet. So I brushed everyone, hung out with them and walked them around a bit. Poop

*sigh*

Like I have been saying, all I wanted to do was ride my horse.

The weather continued to deteriorate and Monday it was worse, power was out all day ( it was MLK day so I had the day off ) and then the road was closed.

Now here was the deal on that. The road closed down from my house. Which usually is ok, because I can drive up the mountain and go all the way around. But, silly me, I did not fill up my car, and the tank was almost empty and since I am driving the big truck there was not enough gas in the truck to make it all away around the mountain.

SO I tried siphoning gas from my other truck, you know the one that is overheating.

Have you recently tried to siphon gas…

It sucks
It did not work.

So I went back into the house and fixed my pattern box.. Got bored hanging out in the house so I went up to the goats and worked with the horses at the house.
Found out one of my goats has a really badly infect eye, so I had to put her in the stall.
Poop another vet bill.

So all in all, not much horse this weekend, other then just spending a little time with them and missing them a lot.
