Learning’s today in day 2 of Bucks Clinic…

I was so busy, keeping my horse busy I think I missed most of it… Perhaps that was the golden nugget.
Perhaps that was what I was supposed to take away..
1. Keep your horse focused.
2. Keep them out of trouble.
3. Keep heading to the softness.
4. Softness sometimes comes from hardness
You never know!
There were plenty of opportunities for me to be a lawn dart. But I never got caught with my reins to short. Never got caught with my feet out of the stirrups..
Kept her busy.. Kept things working…
What did I walk away with…
1. Get to the feet..
2. Always offer the best deal, the do what you need to do.
3. Keep them focused, let them be until they need to focused again
4. Stay centered, stay balanced, So your horse can be balanced.
5. Be aware of your surroundings.
6. Think things through before you get your horse in over its head
