Yes...
I know you have been waiting in the aisles for this....
Horsemanship...
No Horse - Man _ Ship
or how about Handy Horses, Horse Sense, Horse Handling, Horse N Ship
Man and Horse, Round About Horse, Whatever.....
Its all the same.
Can you, in partnership, ride your horse....
Now you have types..
The Horse Nurse...
yes we all know this one... Its the lady, man or gent that has a horse and for some darn reason they never seem able to ride it...
You know the one... Oh Pooky is lame today, Pooky has a tummy ache, Pooky has a sore on his back, Pooky is a little gimpy...
The horse nurse... you know....
The Horse Collector
You know this one... The individual who has, alot of horses... but never seems to find time to ride said horses. Or has horses that for whatever reason, can not be ridden. I think this can also be a merge between the crazy cat lady, and the horse nurse....
Please...
The Know it All
Oh right.... sorry I didnt know that... mind getting up on your horse and showing me? oh no?
this is the armchair horseman. The one who sits on his or her lawn chair and dictates to you from afar on how you need to improve... though you can never re-collect when you ever saw them on their horses....
The Equipment User
You know this one when you see it. Its the person out in the arena with every contraption known to man attach to their horses. The tie down, the curb strap with spikes, the metal noseband, the martingale, the lunge reins, the emergency stop reins, the other set of reins and the butt rein, the this and the that....The horse is moving in a circle, amazing.... And then they wonder why their horse wind sucks, weaves and flips over....
The Maddy
Every barn has one... Its the person who is always pissed, at their horse...
Not sure why this happens but they are yelling at it, slapping it, kicking it, hitting it with a rake, a lunge whip, a rein basically anything they can get their hands on...This is the person that backs their horse up the entire length of the barn thinking it helps them. This is the person that says their horse is lazy, stupid or whatever, even though the horse is doing everything that it can to get out of this persons way... This my friends is the one that I will not tolerate....
The Rider
This is the guy or gal who for whatever reason can ride like no ones business... They understand the mechanics and can ride like the devil. We appreciate them, we want to be like them... but on the ground, or understanding how a horse mind works... they fall short... Without support or a trainer their horses develop problems. Wont stand when they mount, wont bridle, has temper tantrums... you know the kind....
The Horse Handler
Poor devil.. This guy or gal can handle a horse on the ground, but can not seem to translate it into the saddle. Fear, inexperience or just laziness prevent them from reaching Rider status.
Though they understand the horses mind and how to get down to the feet they lack the saddle time or drive to translate that into a complete package.
The Horseman
I like to think of this as the level that we want to achieve. We want to be good riders, work with the horse through our body into the mind and down to the feet. We want to develop a relationship with our horses and to strive for achievement and accomplishment. We want to get better... This individual is the start of a larger process. This for me kiddies is my goal.
Someone who can ride all gears of their horses and feel confident. Someone who can help thier horse get better. Maybe they still work with a trainer, maybe they themselves are still learning. Yet like our expectation for our horses they are trying... searching for the answer!
Hi Ho!

Horsemanship emphasis your partnership – your partnership with your horse. First, the horse is understood by the human, secondly the horse understanding the human and this is your partnership.
